It is with great sadness that we learned about our friend and colleague Jennifer Sharp’s sudden and unexpected death. Jenny’s idea was to start something for Scottish bass players, initially forming it with the help of two amateur and two professional bassists. Her drive and initiative, making contacts around the world and inviting highly skilled professionals in both classical and jazz disciplines, has enabled the Trust to continue presenting workshops, masterclasses and recitals. Our next collaboration is with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) this September, an event that will be held in her memory.
